Susan Buckley is an experienced psychologist specialising in supporting separated families. Having prepared hundreds of Family Reports and testified in cross examinations, Sue assists parents, legal professionals, and the Court in implementing child-centred arrangements. She is highly skilled in handling complex cases, including domestic and family violence, shared parenting, and parental alienation. Her approach integrates the latest clinical research and best practices to safeguard children and families from the impact of conflict and violence.

Nationally respected within the legal profession, Sue has worked across metropolitan and rural areas in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Darwin. Known for her willingness to travel to remote areas and her capacity to handle urgent matters, she is frequently sought for expert opinions in family law. From his many years employed as a Counsellor at the Family Court of Australia and at the Federal Magistrates Court (now the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia), Franco gained extensive experience in report preparation and cross examination.

After leaving the Court, he worked for some time at a Family Relationship Centre where he gained considerable experience in counselling couples, families and children.

He is well-known and well-respected amongst the legal profession & now consults exclusively in private practice.
Franco’s areas of interest include relocation, transcultural and transgender matters, grandparental roles and shared parenting. He is mindful of the stressful and difficult time parents and children can go through both prior to and following a separation. In 2021, Annette was honoured to receive the Australian and New Zealand, Resolution Institute, “Achievement Award” for her success in family law dispute resolution.

When you meet Annette, the first thing you will notice is how personable, approachable and passionate she is about conflict resolution, coaching and facilitation within the family law and workplace sectors.

Annette’s passion comes from 25 years as a human resources, industrial relations and corporate development executive, and from being a parent of now adult children.

Best known for her ability to uncover the human factors, that when addressed, result in the greatest benefit to individuals, families, teams and organisations, Annette has been instrumental in the success of organisations and families.

Annette has resolved long-standing family law and workplace disputes, led organisational change, and repeatedly demonstrates skills in flexibility by applying a range of mediation, facilitation and coaching approaches.

Trevor has 40 years’ experience in community services, child and adolescent mental health, and as a family report writer and single expert witness in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia for the last 20 years.

Trevor spent his early career as a cognitive behavioural therapist before becoming a senior clinician in child and adolescent psychiatry, and later a regional coordinator of clinical services with Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS). He has worked in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and in private practice as a single expert witness and family report writer since 2003.

His areas of expertise are individual counselling with children and adolescents, couples counselling, and family therapy from a systems and narrative perspective. His reports are evidence-based and provide a developmental, clinical and systems analysis suited to cross examination.

Michelle Meyer has nearly thirty years’ experience as a Regulation 7 Family Report Writer. She brings personal attributes of compassion, insight, and integrity, always focussed on the best interests of the child.


She has extensive experience with complex family issues, including family violence, cultural issues, relocation, and disability.
Michelle is also a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and welcomes referrals for mediation for parenting arrangements in Family Law matters.


Michelle has vast experience in restorative practices and integrates those principles into her mediation, allowing families to work through problems together and where appropriate, tap into the resources of extended families in the decision-making process. Restorative principles also focus on repairing the harm from parental conflict, empowering children and other family members to have a voice and facilitating apologies to rebuild relationships.


Michelle has a particular interest in child inclusive practice and has been a Child Consultant for seventeen years. She has a passion for child focussed work, and empowering children to have a voice. Michelle welcomes referrals child consultations in mediation matters.
